Prayer Print E-mail

PrayerPrayer is simply keeping company with God. When we humbly bring our concerns, desires, confessions and thanksgiving to God in prayer, He listens. The Bible says that Jesus would often leave the company of his friends to talk with the Father (Luke 5:16).

As Christians we should find a time and place by ourselves, and just be intimate with God.

Prayer is how we communicate with God and it takes us into His presence. It is an important vehicle for building the character of Christ in our life.

Prayer allows us to lower our defenses and share our true self with a God that already knows us intimately. In becoming transparent and authentic (or getting real), God can then begin to heal our hearts and guide us in the way we should go.

Whether we are praying in desperation or overflowing joy, God wants us to come before him in a special time that will be honest, meaningful and even enjoyable.

LLF has a prayer chain that takes your prayer requests and, through e-mail, asks for prayers from prayer partners in our church and community.
