Fighter Verse - 6/29/2008 - Week 26 |
|
Ephesians 6:13-15 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. |

Welcome to Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship |
By Pastor Glenn M. Shelton I am thrilled that you are expressing interest in our Fellowship at Lakeshore. I know that people consider many things when visiting churches. The teaching, the music, age groups, families, singles, or opportunities to serve. What you may be seeking could be dramatically different from the next person - or it could be exactly the same.
At Lakeshore, one thing remains consistent. We, as a church, exist to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples. We will accomplish this as we connect people who connect people to Jesus. Along the way, we teach and share. We sing and laugh. We roll up our sleeves and get involved. And sometimes, we're quietly still in the presence of God.
We are a growing church, but one with open doors and open hearts. Our congregation covers many generations, among which are people of every stage of faith. We welcome those seeking God and His truths, regardless of questions, baggage, or plain old life experiences.
Whatever you're looking for, you mean something to our God and Father. As God's church at Lakeshore, you mean something to us. Please know that you are always welcome here. |

The Honduras Mission Team is on the move-June 14-21st as we minister to our adopted village of Quiscamote in the Lempira region. Nineteen team members will be traveling to build latrines and do children's ministry among our Honduran friends. To date, Lakeshore has taken five trips in the last three years and build lorena stoves, latrines, and helped provide fresh water to the village. Watch for updates on our blog and pray for our team that God would watch over us and keep us safe. Pray that our team is unified and humble to God's plans and the agenda of the Holy Spirit would be our agenda. Pray that we would do the work as Christ's servants humbly among the villagers. We also thank God for the many members and friends of Lakeshore who have donated items and monetary gifts that we might be a sending congregation! Watch for updates on the blog during the week!
